Allocated Sail Numbers

All paid up members are entitled to an “IR” sail number. Sail numbers are displayed on sails (and often also boards, vehicles, etc.) for identification during competition.

Sail numbers are allocated for 12 months only, and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Below is a list of current allocated sail numbers, assigned to members who hold an active (paid) membership. Also we honour and remember deceased members.

It is customary to name the sailor associated with a sail number for identification purposes, because after all, that’s the reason for having a sail number! However, if you wish to NOT have your name displayed alongside your sail number, please let us know.

If you do not renew your membership, you lose an entitlement to the sail number. This website allows only 14 days grace…however your membership auto-renews unless you have explicitly canceled, so rest assured the chances of loosing your sail number are very slim once it has been assigned.

If a sail number is not shown below, then it is available. If you wish to request a sail number, please become a member by clicking “Join” above, and follow the request process under the members section.
